My favorite part of this viewing experience was the guy next to me who had clearly never seen a non Parasite Bong Joon Ho movie and every 20 minutes was just yelling “what the fuck.” He might’ve not been having a great time, but I for one, was having a blast. A true to form Bong film with weird creatures, great comedy, awesome shots, and non subtle capitalist commentary that works for me.

The Brutalist 2024
Totemic score. Propulsive first act that morphs in to something dark, sticky and evil that although maybe less satisfying to watch, still has much to challenge you on. The VistaVision is maybe overly present throughout but my god I’m still a true sucker for it.

The most horniest, most ruthless, and most pure fun I’ve had at the movie theater. My Mike Faist stock continues to soar!! Zendaya obvi. Absolutely insane score from the bois. And great tennis! I really don’t think this would’ve had the same impact if the sports scenes were only ok. Great ingenuity across the board. Can’t wait to watch this again.
