Most of the movie seemed pretty forgettable and the lead character was about as flat as you can get away with. I didn’t realize how much terrorism happened other than 9/11. The cinematography during the raid was really cool too. I know it’s supposed to be a victorious moment for the U.S. but the whole movie just feels like everyone in both sides is losing. Each side is committing atrocities for their cause.

Absolutely Loved this movie. I loved the book and I think this is the best an adaptation could do follow the spirit of the book. I love a good flawed character and watching all of them make mistakes and go through the full range of emotions and growth was really moving. The editing showing scenes out of order was absolutely incredible. It was jarring at times or very smooth and subtle but all of it served the story and helped add emphasis.

Incredibly beautiful movie but I have no idea who this movie was made for. Why does it have preschool lesson themes but then shows decapitated animal heads? Pacing was all over the place and had some really dumb lines that were said with no prompting. The storyline felt like 2 jazz soloist fighting for control. SPOILER ALERT
Why do they fight so hard to get her back and then he just leaves anyway???
Good movie. Wasn't what I thought it was going to be but It was very well made and I thought the type of film they chose was really cool. I don't think the main character did a very good job but everyone around her was great so redeemed itself and I thought the end tied it all together.
