It’s rare when a film is just as good as the book on which it is based. This film passes that test. It’s tough to shake this film, but also tough to watch it. The performances of both Robert Blake and Scott Wilson are incredible, but Blake’s tour de force as Perry Smith is haunting almost beyond measure. The last ten minutes of the film transcend mere moviegoing - you get into major soul time here. Not one to miss, and one you’ll never forget…
