The Hunchback of Notre Dame 1996
Such a gripping, unapologetic tale, despite some tonal issues. I genuinely cried a bit in one of the songs, if you know me enough you'll probably know which one. The music score is to die for, too. If only newer Disney films had so much heart put into it...

A Walk to Remember 2002
Rather predictable plot and character developments, but nonetheless a very heartfelt and powerful movie that warrants a watch. It teaches many valuable lessons in life about purpose, about growing beyond your comfort zone, and about the power of love in many of its forms. 1 Cor 13:4-7 remains my favorite quote from the Bible to this day, and I'm not even really Christian (moreso agnostic). I think this was a pretty decent movie. I like how the movie portrays a trans woman’s life experience, with a lot of little snippets building to the story that feel concrete. It's really ahead of its time, showing a level of empathy with Christine's experience, and by extension, those of many trans women like her, that was rare for its time.
