"the same person, not different at all, just a different sex." great take on this beautiful weird ass story. the changes from the novel really enhance the narrative and don't feel contrived, so it felt way shorter than 90 mins. there is such care taken with costuming through the changing eras, which only heightens my concern that we are long past investing in this level of thoughtful design in period films (shaking my head so everyone knows i am dreading emerald fennel's wuthering heights). also, i get the fleabag references now
