I wasn’t particularly in love with the film, but it held my interest. As someone somewhat familiar with Burroughs' works, I had an idea of what to expect. Queer gave me vibes of Hunter S. Thompson and Charles Bukowski, as they also explore taboo subjects, the bohemian lifestyle, and drug-fueled experiences.
Visually stunning and well-acted, though the story didn’t fully grip me. Still, a very competent effort by Guadagnino.
