  miyazaki does this beautiful thing where he messes with my senses and i feel like i can feel and smell the things in his films 
  like when mei jumped on totoro and tickled his nose i swear i felt like a big ball of fluff in my hands 
  i am excited to show my children this film whilst living in an area near a forest full of narnia-esque tunnels and hiding places for them to run around in and bring back acorns and magic seeds
