disappointing. yes, it is important to recognize the terrible things that happen in the sex work industry at face value, but setting these scenes to woeful millennial pop to aestheticize the harrowing conditions that real women are living through is tremendously disingenuous. the viewer is tormented with unimaginable scenes of violence and discrimination and little time is given to the women to speak beyond their conditions and the horrific things they were asked to describe. for all of its visual intrigue and true-to-life grittiness, Whores’ Glory is a gross film.
