Lolita 1997
Dear Mummy and Hummy,
A beautifully sickening film. However, I think that the book does a much better job at portraying Humbert as an unreliable narrator. Despite that, this movie does an excellent job at evoking visceral and revolting emotions within the viewer. Given this, I think that this film was as good of an adaptation of Lolita that we’re gonna get, given that the storyline is so hard to capture visually, and to portray emotionally.
