  in angelopoulos films theatrical troupes both rehearse and perform plays. in rivettes's film, self-congratulations of the rehearsal is the telos. 13 hours to draw a parallel between theatrical troupes without performances with social movements without praxis.

  I love Victor Moore in this, but it kills me that the happy ending entirely hinges on the ulterior-motive-driven beneficence of the world's second richest man—entrepreneurial wherewithal and resourcefulness are naught without it.
