Not a masterpiece, but it was engaging enough to keep watching until the end. The backstory was well without disturbing the present. The acting was excellent, with every character fitting perfectly into their roles. I’m not sure how it holds up today, but for its time, it was a solid film with a compelling story and strong content. I didn’t realize I had seen the first half as a child. Back then, this film would have been pretty scary for a kid.

I liked it! This story is fast-paced and full of emotion, without any catchy songs to distract from the tension throughout the film. While there are background songs that uplift the film, the focus remains on the story. The writing is excellent, building suspense and the payoff, though it is a happy ending trope, it fits and completes the story, which I liked. The supporting cast adds a lot to the story.
