Surprisingly Ellroyesque. Looks and sounds incredible, very effective unpleasant atmosphere, total bad dream. A few years ago I had a really disorienting and scary bout of flu coming home from Glasgow after reading A Thread of Violence and it felt not unlike this.

Felt rushed and a bit abrupt towards the end, which one imagines as a reaction to the reaction to Terrifier 2's runtime... kind of a shame! Not the most notable "we have heard your comments" bit of this film though... Art you scamp!
I liked how vibes-based the supernatural stuff was in previous installments and this did stray dangerously close to "lore" on occasion, though it doesn't quite fall in.
Nice lighting, nice textures. Some really nice production design/location/set work…
