The Killing of a Sacred Deer 2017
People are put in vulnerable positions and then we are just observing how would they react in such situations. The film gets very subtly philosophical and the beautiful part is that nothing is forced, audience makes the philosophies by themselves. The camera lurks around from some very uncomfortable positions trying to get the audience to see the situation from a peculiar angle. The slow zoom ins are I think a trait of Yorgos Lanthiamos films. Sometimes they work really perfectly and other times they take you out of the drama. Music though subtle most of the times gets really loud and obnoxious at a certain point.
