I enjoy big swings from a director, and like a swing, you're along for the ride or you wanna get off. I really enjoyed the film. I can see it being polarizing with tonal shifts but I enjoyed the ride. The performances from Zoe, Karla and Selena were so great, they acted so well. I'd like to see nominations for all 3 of them. I'm excited to have seen it on a big screen at a theatre before it hits Netflix. It played well. Visually stunning. El Mal and Mi Camino are bops.

The Substance 2024
The visuals absolutely stunning. The production design, aesthetics immaculate. Amazing makeup. Demi and Margaret and Dennis are so good. The score great. This movie was wild and insane. I laughed when a music cue from a famous film (don't wanna spoil it) started near the very end of the film and was laughing all the way til the end of the film. Cinema baby.
