  Shout out the the women running the Q&A in Melbourne who: hadn't read the book, hadn't done any research, fucked up knowledge accessible from a simple IMDB search, decided to rephrase a question 50 times, thought psychoanalysis was more important than how the film was made, exasperated the audience and found homoerotic subtext where there was none. The true MVP.

  Things I love: spy thrillers with Cold War undertones, a case of mistaken identity, well-tailored Hitchcock blondes with a bit of backbone, famous monuments depicted on film, pine forests, Cary Grant.

  North by Northwest is so far up my alley, I feel like Hitchcock might be mocking me from his grave. God this was good.
