Stephen Graham yet again being one of the UK’s finest actors and producers. This was poignant and devastating. The ‘one take’ set-up will be something utilised more and more in future based on this work and that of Boiling Point. Magnificent.
Mansplaining, the movie. Patronising, pseudo-intellectual bollocks. Like myself, I felt the collective eye rolls of other women at yet another man holding us ransom to stream of thought condescension about religion, philosophy and culture. No more God complex monologue films please, it always boils down to men keeping women in cages. One star for Hugh Grant taking to the roll of a villain well. Lack of all other stars for trying to talk to women about Lana del Rey.
Perfect comfort movie, potentially the funniest I’ve ever seen. Snl shorts condensed into one movie and I’ve yet to find another with so many jokes packed into it. Not sure why it didn’t win any Oscars. Terrorise that pussy.

A clever way of narrating a ghost film. I thought it was remarkable how the ‘presence’ showed emotion just by the way it retreated into the wardrobe. That said, I didn’t think the characters were particularly well developed and with that in mind I SERIOUSLY question the choice of giving the antagonist the film’s only close up while they assault a teenage girl and dedicate a generous amount of runtime for their ‘I’m a crazy loner’ speech. Only then to have the films climax be over in seconds.
We didn’t need the assault to be so long, do better.
