Awaara 1951
There was so much movie in this movie.
In awe of 20-something RK for directing, producing, starring as the lead, and delivering a classic. Especially as a director, you can see that the man has such a deep understanding of and love for cinema.
The run time almost did me in (why are there so many songsss?!), but I was rooting for this awaara.
Who doesn't love a cinematic takedown of anthropological criminology served with a heavy dose of socialism?Translated from by

Fallen Angels 1995
it's not a movie
it's a map of urban melancholia, it's a midnight drive through a tunnel under the dim city lights, it's a mooood!Translated from by -
Princess Mononoke 1997
Princess Mononoke will always be special to me, both, for being the first Ghibli film I ever watched, and for evoking in me a piercing sense of awe and reverence for our natural world and ecology; we tend to grow imperceptive to how magical it all truly is!
PS: Shoutout to Mike Shinoda for shouting-out Princess Mononoke in a Linkin Park BTS video I stumbled upon during my emo phase, which was how I found Studio Ghibli.
