So much of my work involves writing for, and about children, thinking about the worlds they inhabit, about the values we hope they imbue, and how everything we do shapes who they grow up to be.
So watching this broke my heart.
Because, this is it. This is the world we've generated, and there is no exit. The disquiet, as you at once sympathise with and are horrified by a 13 year old, is so cruelly unrelenting, much like the camera that stubbornly forces you to stay with it (the medium, a perfect aid to the message).
How do you look away now?

There was so much movie in this movie.
In awe of 20-something RK for directing, producing, starring as the lead, and delivering a classic. Especially as a director, you can see that the man has such a deep understanding of and love for cinema.
The run time almost did me in (why are there so many songsss?!), but I was rooting for this awaara.
Who doesn't love a cinematic takedown of anthropological criminology served with a heavy dose of socialism?Translated from by
