I was wrong. I don’t know what I was smoking when I watched it for the first time, but I loved it this time around. I still dislike Hamilton’s death soliloquy, but other than that I had no issues with the music. The two other things I would change would be not double-casting Anthony Ramos (you have like 10 swings. Choose someone else to play Philip ffs) and cut Eliza’s last gasp into favor of her (or maybe everyone) singing “Alexander Hamilton, his name was Alexander Hamilton.”
