  Rewatched this for fun over the holiday break with my son. It really holds up all these years later. Still a great film.

  Belushi 2020

  For as many rich stories as there are about Belushi, I found this a bit boring. Maybe it was the format with phone interviews where we never see the subjects being interviewed, but I just wasn’t that engaged. His predictable spiral into drugs and alcohol seemed trite and like every other story of Hollywood star gone too soon due to uncontrolled self indulgence.

  This movie had so much going for it but it never could get over the hump. Where it was supposed to be sentimental it was just boring. Bill Murray was a bright spot. The editing left the actors hanging in a way that was not good. Disappointed because I really wanted to love this one, but it was mediocre at best.

  This was a lot of fun! Watched it at Austin Film Festival and it is what being in a festival is like. You just have to get over yourselves and have some fun — at festivals and with this movie! Also, the cast was awesome.

Following
