It was… fine. You can tell Marvel was aiming for that Winter Soldier/Civil War tone, but it never quite reached those heights.
The villain was incredibly weak—no presence, no real stakes, just forgettable. Plus, I couldn’t shake how unrealistic it felt watching Sam, a regular human with wings, effortlessly take down highly trained enemies without breaking a sweat. It took me out of the film.
I have a lot time for Mackie, but can’t replace Chris Evan’s just like that …
