  Tim Treadwell lived a very American life. He wanted to be famous, failed. Then tried to carve out some seemingly selfless grandiose purpose elsewhere, that entitled him to a sense of righteousness, but ultimately where he wasnt wanted or needed, got killed and arguably did more harm than good in the end.

  Wish I liked this more since Fincher might be my favorite director tbh, but still enjoyed it a lot.

  I know it was adaption, but the obvious parallels between the titular Killer and Fincher are pretty funny. Meticulous perfectionist who is an expert in their field whose last job may have had underwhelming results. Fincher obviously didnt just randomly decide to adapt this for no reason, but who knows maybe he just thought it was cool.
