Not the scathing social commentary it pretends to be, all feeling with the emotional maturity of a 14 year activist, don't believe the hype, this film says nothing new and walks the line throughout, I bet Jeff Bezos loved it too *Amazon pay well",no they don't, especially not in 2011, zero blunt edges here, the definition of anodyne, do yourself a favour and watch Ken Loach instead.

I loved solaris and expected the same. Boy was I wrong...
This film makes absolutely zero sense in the traditional sense, there is no plot, not that I could distinguish anyway.
Its scene after scene, glimpses, perhaps in the mirror of Tarkovskys life, perhaps that's the point but I thought it was bollocks, I fell asleep and that rarely happens.

River Phoenix was one handsome man but even he couldn't save this turd of a film, Keanu as much as I love you, Shakespeare is way out of your league, I was waiting for George Carlin to appear in a phone box and tell you to pack it in.
