i don’t know much about Lou Ye. but I know he absolutely loves Shanghai. even through the haze and industrial decay, after watching this film, I love Shanghai too.

A clockwork crime drama/thriller. Even today, HEAT’s action scenes get brought up as among the best in the genre, and for good reason.
