Brandon Flynn, you’ve come a long since “Kid Victory”!
A silly script that would’ve been a dreadful movie with a different cast, but everyone here knows exactly what they were doing and showed up for the gig. Some great one-liners that made me laugh out loud, right up to the very end. Great cameo by Parker Posey, Brian Cox stealing scenes, Lisa Kudrow not herself, Edie Falco doing a killer robot.

I love baseball. I love baseball movies. I love this specific baseball movie. The lighting as dusk falls was so specific and suddenly I remembered all the nights spent as a kid playing ball in the neighborhood as the sun was setting and none of us wanted it to end.

Tries to be too middle of the road & fit too much into its running time. Great archival footage throughout. Absolutely spellbinding accounts of the morning of 9/11. Relies way too much on Alberto Gonzales and Andrew Card, two of the main proponents of the illegal and immoral acts taken on during the Bush administration, and doesn’t do much to counter their excuses for torture and treatment of prisoners.
