  I don’t think I’ve watched a movie that simultaneously made me laugh piss me off and make me think all in one scene

  It might be because I haven’t watched another movie like this before but wow it’s really cool the effect this movie has on you afterwards. I especially loved discussing scenes and themes with my wonderful pledge brother Kyle. Maybe I am getting older and the time is truly passing because I feel a little more validated in my media literacy skills. No YouTube video required 🙅🏽‍♂️

  This movie was like the prettiest set of grays ever, I now know exactly what people mean when they say Eggers is an auteur. Really loved the sequence of Thomas traveling to the castle, it was so disorienting and haunting - a really fun way to give foreboding vibes. Also loved how the first act of the movie was semi-chaotic until Willem Dafoe’s character came in (I fucking love willem dafoe) as he, the exiled “crazy” doctor actually became…
