  Worth the watch for the watch for some of the most beautifully yet gloomy and gritty cinematography that just eats away at your soul. One sequence in particular genuinely blew me away and I won’t stop thinking about it for months.

  The 4k remaster cements The Raid as the greatest action film of the 2000s. It looks incredible with proper color correction which grounds the film in an even more gritty slimey reality. This is one of those remasters you truly need to check out even if you just slightly enjoyed the film. I love everything about The Raid so so so much.

  Three things really stuck with me rewatching this for the first time since I was sixteen:

  1. The zombie apocalypse started because of woke.

  2. “If you look at the whole life of the planet, we, you know, man has only been around for a few blinks of an eye. So, if the infection wipes us all out... that is a return to normality” - insanely hard quote, love that shit. 

  3. Possibly contains one of the most simple, yet best shots symbolizing hope of any zombie film I can remember.
