Girlfriend wanted to watch this classic. I hadn't seen it in years, and it was fantastic. Hathaway and Streep are excellent. Tucci and Blunt put up triple-double performances in support. It holds up nicely. The film feels like an β€œalmost-perfect movie.” Vinny Chase sucks here, and the relationship/friendship dynamic between Hathaway and her friends feels lacking. But that's just nitpicking. Elite couples movie

De Palma cooked here. This is one of the weirdest and fun movies I've seen in a minute. Melanie Griffith kills it here. The Hollywood Satire and Voyeur thrilled should make a comeback? Idk, but it makes for an interesting watch in 2025

Marvel is BACK. They finally gave Hugh the suit, and it ****ing ripped. The cameos and easter eggs were elite. Was much of the movie complete fan slop? Yes. But, for the most part, it was good slop. Hugh is pretty close to RDJ for the greatest/most iconic all-time Superhero performanceβ€”he has to keep playing him. This movie will do 1.5 billionβ€”this is the most excited I've been for Marvel since IF/Endgame. They need to nail bringing the mutants into the universe, but if this is any indication, they’re beginning to right the ship. As a huge Wolverine/X-Men fan, this was all I could've asked for.

The Movies are BACK. Like the OG, this was essentially a superhero movie without any tights/fighting. Powell and Jones match and even exceed the chemistry of the OG leads. Their scenes together are great, and the thrill of the tornadoes/effects is electric. This was a simple summer popcorn movie. It delivered. Powell may have Cruise (🐐) as his mentor, but his presence reminds me a lot of McConaughey. Daisy Edgar-Jones is incredible--she was fantastic. I highly recommend it for a fun summer movie.

Update: I enjoyed the movie so much that I had to give it the rating nod over the OG.
