Martin McDonagh manages to create a film that unfolds like a play and in a way, it's never static.
It made me laugh, it made me very sad, it also broadened my horizons as to the different kinds of ghosting. Irish old-school ghosting, you can be fecking cruel!
I'm so happy this was the last film I watched during the Berlinale (and that it won awards). It somehow shared some themes with the other films and yet it stood out for its calmness and unpretentiousness. Yes to more films telling stories about older people, yes to Rodrigo Santoro!
Ahh I miss my Brazilian girls!
