more than the judicial system i believe that the 12 men in the movie play a subversive role to the patriarchal, classist and capitalist institutions that govern the society today. family bonds and rejection of paternal authority is a microextension of this societal critique that the film embarks upon. the psyche of not 12, but 13 men, that is the alleged killer provides us with a UNIQUE insight into the mind of the oppressor class in the patriarchy. god this is my first ranty review sidney lumet what have you done.
