  The Social Dilemma 2020

  I mean they weren't really wrong on most of it, but like.. don't we pretty much already know most of this? Maybe not to this extent but.. what they're talking about is nearly unavoidable without social media these days.
  And the drama part of this "docu-drama" gives a fear mongering vibe and in my opinion, dilutes the message with a palpable bias. Reenactments felt like they don't know how real people (kids especially) actually act with phones, giving a boomer-esque phones=evil brainwashing!! feel which, sorry, is stupid and out of touch.
  Had it's moments, but ultimately disappointing.

  Maybe it's because I just watched it and I'm still shaken, but jesus this is the best movie I've seen in a long time, and definitely my favorite queer film ever. The references to previous scenes that break my HEART and the solid 30 seconds of absolute silence when the credits roll... fuck me up

  Everything Is Illuminated 2005

  Was watching Indiana Jones and at the end, Sean Connery goes "you know what we found, Junior? Illumination." Then I thought, damn I wanna watch Everything is Illuminated. So I did. I know how it ends, and it still devastates me, what a masterpiece.

  Also, who gave such a sad movie the right to be so funny?
