Written very well, Cate Blanchett (my favorite actress) and Fassbender give good performances but Soderbergh just isn't for me. There's not much here. Some pretty humorous moments is what stuck out to me. Aside from that, not very memorable and something I'd never revisit

The best way I can describe IT is as an inappropriate horror movie for kids aged 11-14. Never been so disappointed in my life.  The film was so uneven. It never found the balance between humor and horror. There were so many misplaced scenes. I was taken out of the movie over and over again. I still can't believe the hype this film is receiving.

No disrespect to Rainey Qualley, but this movie is a perfect example of just how hard it is to carry a movie with your performance. When you are on screen for literally an hour and a half, it's tough. DJ Caruso does a solid job considering the circumstances. There is only so much you can do with a home invasion story. The little girl is the bright spot of the movie. That helpless feeling of protecting your children would be devastating and hard to endure but she's able to manage nonetheless. Nothing great, nothing terrible.
