  Very much a movie that did not need to be made. Paul Mescal and the ever escalating gladiator antics made it an enjoyable watch nonetheless

  A great women as plot points film. Still, De Niro and especially Al Pacino in this role are quite fun to watch. A good take on the obsessed detective/  villain bit.

  Jack Nicholson and Tim Burton walked so Heath Ledger and Christopher Nolan could run.

  Joker really was the part of this movie I enjoyed the most. The terror he unleashed is not for wealth or power but for his own entertainment and spectacle (a theme which the Dark Knight improves upon, and I think can be traced back to The Killing Joke).

  Not much to be said in the way of plot. Tim Burton himself called the film boring overall…

  Poor Things 2023

  So ambitious in its scope and effective in execution. Watching this film is to experience the world through a lens of childlike wonder and newness, to slowly learn with our protagonist the suffering of the world, our place within larger social structures, and the limitations of our anatomy. What’s incredible is that this film managed to make such a straightforward (albeit strange) metaphor for the human condition so encompassing, heartfelt, and powerful.
