“I’d rather be known as a great actress than a movie star.”

    Mission accomplished Naomi Watts.

I tried watching this a couple of times as a teen to no avail. The old saying goes, “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear,” while I’m not sure I fully get it, but I’m listening.

I see Mulholland Drive as more a lesson of control than anything else. I want so bad to put the pieces David Lynch has put out…

John Moore’s action direction is quite inspired. It’s lively and the sequences are very impressive in several scenes. That said, Owen Wilson is no action star. Combined with hokey patriotism and cheesy “hero” action shots, it’s a movie that not even Gene Hackman can make less groan inducing as a whole.

That my favorite Elliot Smith song plays in this isn’t enough, that it’s entitled “Twilight” playing over a scene with Robert Pattinson, THAT my friend, is the sauce.

    These bugs can cuddle.

Bong Joon-ho in his Snowpiercer mode with a touch of Okja combined with those unique flourishes that makes Bong who he is and we get maybe my new favorite of his. Madcap and wonderful. Robert Pattinson with two amazing central performances and Naomi Ackie continuing to break out. Ruffalo and Collette are zany in the perfect verve, just outlandish Trump-esque villains.

    Those religious songs 😂😂
