any enjoyment i’ve ever had of this movie (which i watched as an impressionable young teen) has been spoiled by growing up and realizing my own experience with predatory/age gap relationships. the sexualization of mathilda is sickening, wanting to have her first experience with a grown fucking adult. luc besson is a pedophile in his films and his personal life who deserves to be shunned with the likes of woody allen. fuck this movie.
