Conclave 2024
Loved Ralph Fiennes’ character ❤️ and the ways they gossiped ❤️ and it was so beautifully shot and intriguing! Really liked the idea of certainty being antithetical to tolerance and a general appreciation of ambiguity. However, I thought the ending was disappointing— the twist felt random to me and the resolution was a little too neat.

Lots of clever elements like the last one, but honestly a kinda stressful watch with some erratic pacing and a rushed and (too) neat resolution. Still liked watching it though, and wish there was more movies like this and Turning Red when I was growing up 🥲
also there has to be another secret locked up in there bc based on the way she was interacting w that gay ass team, it is prob not just about a rug lol
