Incredible. I live in a coop and this has had a viewing party 8 times in the last 2 months, I finally watched the whole thing.
Best worst movie.
First 10 min, their relationship, and adrien Brody’a acting were the best parts. I’d probably get more out of it if I understood brutalism (is it a philosophy more than architecture style? They gave a little context towards end)
Would have loved more cool buildings / rooms designed by him. Obviously doesn’t represent all immigrants, but an interesting story to watch right now. America mid-century Protestant work-hard-hate-yourself mindset isn’t one to emulate.
Watched at outdoor community movie night in Bellingham. Still so entertaining and new parts made me laff and I think perhaps made to be shared on summer nights for years to come?? What a great setting! It’s already iconic everyone was dressed up and saying hi Barbie hehe. Cried at the realizing life is complicated and beautiful scene again 🥲
