  A quiet, contemplative film following a day in the life of Soad, an Egyptian woman who is helping her mother care for her dying father.

  The reviews on here are surprisingly low? I think the missing link is perhaps context. The title “Coming Forth by Day” references The Book of the Dead, and the film takes place just days before the Egyptian revolution. Lots of life v death, light v dark, freedom v possession going on throughout.
