A Real Pain 2024
Jesse Eisenberg demonstrates his skill in character study and psychological exploration. I felt that his performance anchored the film, and he effectively directed Cuklin to examine the generational trauma caused by the Holocaust. For those of us gentiles who have studied the Holocaust to the extent that it shaped our perception of the world, humanity, and immense pain, this film shows how that pain is still very much here. A Real Pain.
