  after a couple months of watching a variety of movies, i feel like i’ve been desensitised. decided to watch this film again, as id liked it the last time i watched it, but just gave it a low rating because of how harrowing it is. 

  watching this again, the third and fourth incident still made me quite queasy but i was able to finally truly understand what a narrative masterpiece this was and appreciate the comedic quality of this film. …

  i’m ngl, i found the beginning soo boring and was not interested at all. the movie definitely picks up pace towards the end. 

  the camera movement and framing of some of the shots was immaculate, and i loved the way the court scenes were shot. the action sequences were well directed as well. 

  the plots an interesting one. it’s so weird, yet it’s meaning is so clear: people are a mess.

  i can see why this film introduced japanese cinema to the world
