    TWOWS is ensconced firmly in the hallowed pantheon of great movies that dumb guys love but don't understand, with the likes of Scarface, Fight Club, and Reservoir Dogs. It also belongs in what I think of as Leo's Exploding Man trilogy, along with The Aviator and The Great Gatsby, three movies about guys who should have chilled out.

    I've read every single Dune book, including the bad ones. So when I say this movie looks the way it should look, you have to underatand that I've spent a lot of time thinking about what a dune movie should look like. Villenueve nails it. This is unsurprising since he is, first and foremost a crafter of images. He makes shit look good. But the visuals are not the issue with this movie.
