This was a really wild experience in 2025 since the main characteristic of the protagonist is that he REALLY hates pagans. Dude could not focus on the actual case because he was too busy being scared of sex & angry about people not worshipping Christ.

Fiddler on the Roof 1971
The wildest thing about this movie, to me, is that I first watched it when I was about six, and I watched An American Tail around the same time, so I’ve always considered them spiritually connected. It wasn’t until I was an adult that I realized that a lot of other people who saw it as children had no idea that “Feivel Mousekewitz” was a russian jewish mouse.

This movie RIPS. It’s not afraid to be ridiculous in order to make a sick action scene & the homoeroticism between the leads was set to 100% for the whole thing. The cartoonishly evil villains would be off-putting in a different film, but the British Raj was just like that.
