Watched this during my come down with my friends and we all fell in love with this rom-com, its burlesque vibe, and the undeniable urge to dance on a bar. Peak 2000s, a great soundtrack...you just can’t fight the moonlight.

I Believe in Unicorns 2014
This film feels deeply personal to me. The dreamy, hazy feel and layered symbolism, especially the unicorn and dragon representing innocence and trauma, are beautifully done. Davina’s attachment to childlike things contrasts with the darkness in her life, like her strained family relationships and inner struggles. The final line, “I have so much to say, but I don’t know where to start. Maybe when I learn how to breathe, I’ll finally know how to speak,” perfectly captures the overwhelming emotions the film explores. It is not for everyone, but its raw and poetic charm makes it unforgettable for those who connect with its story.
