  Thematically I am pretty onboard. I think it’s doing a nice job of exploring the chaotic reality of commodified sex and love, power imbalances, and the fleeting idea of truly changing your class status overnight. 

  For being as long as it was, I think it was a disservice to gloss over the fact that Igor was in a position to rape Ani. It’s turned into a joke instead of explored further. Maybe that’s the point? Something to unpack there. 

  Also couldn’t help but feel they were trying to do uncut gems with 7 people talking but just not succeeding the same way.

  Really enjoyed the story, first half definitely better than second half. Felt like the 15 “pan to silvy crying” shots were not necessary. Also the crowd being so childish made it feel a little unrealistic. But overall good music, dude’s a legend.

  It was kinda awesome the way I would be really immersed in this movie trying to think like, what did that subtle thing just imply? How is that pointing to something bigger? And then I would get hit with the most out of pocket shit like a shot of joe from like 100 yards away just walking across the block with some really dramatic piano music playing. And I lost it laughing every time. Great balance of attention to every shot with dry humor that I love.

  I think I’ve watched this movie more than any other movie. And like so much of the allure of the movie is the twist of the heist. But after I already know the twist and I keep watching it? Must be good. 

  All star cast just clearly having a ball.
