Okay I’m rewatching tomorrow with my friends.
It’s honestly really funny, I don’t see the problem everyone has with it.
The movie doesn’t take itself to seriously and it has a good message against gang violence and it ends with the death of the original gangster couple and Gustavo so also shows flaws in the characters. There is a lack of plot armor which is good.
I feel if I tweaked the people involved with this movie people would enjoy it way more. It does not deserve a letterboxd 2.2. It doesn’t deserve 13 Oscar’s either although I don’t know what categories.
oh my god. just watch it. go into it blind and just watch it. i genuinely can’t say anything without spoiling it.
