A total whirlwind. I had a lot of fun. Mikey Madison is sensational. The chemistry between Vania and Annie is palpable. I laughed and I cried. I don't know how to parse Bakers politics and I appreciate how Anora neglected to do any hand-holding with the Russian dialogue.

Ben-Hur is the ultimate epic. A tale of warriors and Christian mythos.
What I found really interesting about this movie is how crisp and kinetic the dialogue is. There is a really magical quality about the sound design. The way the characters speak with each other lets Ben-Hur's daring action breathe.
And there is a ton of action. Incredible sequences of naval warfare and chariot battles bookend the Roman-Judeo drama at the heart of the film.

Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021

Every single person here showed up and gave it their all. I almost cried. Every single possible ounce of fan service I wanted I got. Absolutely amazing. I loved the action.
I was expecting a bunch of brief, dissatisfying cameos but this is effectively a Spider-Man Rogues gallery hang-out movie hinged on some vicious, uncompromising fight scenes, drama and real stakes.
And it just delivers so hard. God fucking dammit I love this movie so much. Just everything.
