Ghostbusters 2016
If your childhood was fragile enough that a newer version, of the comedic film, "Ghostbusters" somehow undid all the happiness you once had. If that genuinely happened to you, then I'm very sorry. Please take delight in the fact that I'm pretty sure this film retroactively made my childhood better.
I truly enjoyed it, and could see a much younger version of myself completely in love. I don't remember having anything like this to look up to as a kid.…

Honestly I'm floored. I didn't expect to love it as much as I did. This takes every mysogonistic trope in cinema and turns it on it's head. Really smart symbolism, really fantastic effects. The cinematogrophy is an homage to pulp cinema and is beautifully crafted. Great soundtrack, fantastic use of color... All around an A+ film and a stellar first full length effort from Coralie Fargeat.
