    The screenplay was kinda wack. Wasn't a fan of a lot of the new dialogue. Acting wise also preeeeetty average. But shit, it's Beauty and the Beast. The story is an incredible one, and I loved the live-action. Lumiere is awesome as is all of the inanimate objects. And the songs were spectacular.

    Usually this line foreshadows absolute cheese; a gateway to mediocre writing. But, and very indicative of this film, this was not the case with Lion. From the start, the life of little Saroo, surprises you. The director beautifully captures the child's sad journey, and once older, Dev Patel brings that to adult form.
