a misguided product of its time, but at no point is the film supposed to be realistic or historically accurate; it is a hyperbole of extremists and should never be taken more seriously than that (besides the dinner scene cuz wtf…)
snakes, nasty ass bugs, roller coasters in the catacombs, and sky diving on a raft keep the adventure at full throttle. brutal sacrifices, hellish caves, Amrish Puri’s Mola Ram, and “Kali Ma” also make this the most unsettling of the franchise. Ram is an all time villain and Short Round is an all time sidekick.
