  I can't recommend this movie. It doesn't have the beautiful emotional moments that Sergio Leone's westerns do, it's ultimately kind of long and dissonant and rough and just too much. I don't know, you tell me if you really liked this movie. There's things to be enjoyed about it, it's cool to see Ernest Borgnine being a cool guy, but it's just super abrasive and kind of morally ambiguous and just not that satisfying as a western.

  Escape from New York 1981

  It's a fun movie, not as good as John Carpenter's other movie The Thing. Kurt Russell plays basically the same guy in both movies. It's not boring, just not as really dramatic and suspenseful as The Thing is. The plot is unique and well executed, sets are pretty built out and expensive, can't really complain too much about anything. Give it a watch if you haven't seen it and want something not too serious.
